Quartermaster Corporal Francis Hamlen Norris, 776,
of the Royal Horse Guards,
is commemorated on panel 16 of the Helles Memorial, Turkey.
The memorial lies at the tip of the Gallipoli Peninsula,
and bears the names of over 20,000 men who fell in that campaign,
and whose graves are unknown or who were lost or buried at sea.
He was born at Bradford-on-Avon, and was the son of
Sophia Norris of "Roydon", Albert Road, Ashford, Middlesex,
and the late Herbert Andrew Norris.
He died on Sunday 22nd August 1915, aged 35.
