Bertie Norris


Bertie Norris was the son of John Henry and Alice Norris, who
lived at 5, Cedar Avenue, Southport. He was a Second Lieutenant
in the 2nd Batallion Lancashire Fusiliers,
and died on Thursday 3rd May 1917, aged 23.

His name can be found on Bay 5 of the Arras Memorial,
Pas de Calais, France.
The memorial, in the Faubourg-d'Amiens Cemetery commemorates
almost 35,000 casualties of the British, New Zealand and
South African Forces who died between
Spring 1916 and August 1918, and who have no known grave.
